Confusion over Cloud Computing

A survey commissioned by Citrix has found that even though the vast majority of people use cloud services, many are still unsure of the specifics of cloud computing. 97% of those surveyed used cloud products and services, even if they were unaware that the services were classified as ‘cloud’.

Despite this, 59% of respondents recognised the importance of the cloud for businesses and the wider economy, showing that even for those who are not fully aware of the explicit benefits, cloud computing is firmly part of the zeitgeist of IT and business.
