Spending on G-Cloud reaches £18 million

Total spending on cloud services through G-Cloud, the UK government framework created for public organisations to submit requests for tender, has reached over £18.2 million in sales.

This total includes a 50% increase in sales from the previous month, with intention to award notices going out at the end of last week. Whilst there have been a few delays in the timetable, this appears to be in order to ensure that all parties receive the appropriate paperwork before the standstill period started on the 19th April.

If you plan to submit applications for tender, the next iteration of G-Cloud – Giv – is expected to go live in the early summer. You can keep up to date with annoucements through the G-Cloud blog, and twitter feed.
